Mooresville Transfer Station Closure Rescheduled
The Iredell County Mooresville Transfer Station, located at 158 Macleod Drive in Mooresville, will be closed Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, due to a scheduled road closure associated with the Highway 150 widening project.
The Highway 150 road-widening project has reached Macleod Drive, where the transfer station is located. According to project contractors, Macleod Drive is scheduled to close to all traffic beginning Friday evening at approximately 8 p.m. and continuing through the weekend. The road closure will prevent access to the Mooresville Transfer Station.
The weekend closure was originally scheduled for August 29 and 30 but was postponed due to construction delays by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). The closure has now been rescheduled.
Residents who normally use the Mooresville Transfer Station are encouraged to plan ahead and make alternative arrangements for their disposal needs during the closure.
The Mooresville Transfer Station is expected to resume normal operations following the weekend closure, subject to road access and construction conditions.
