North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement selected as an IACP Television Spotlight Agency for 2026
RALEIGH, N.C.
The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division (ALE) has been selected as an International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Television Feature Agency for 2026, providing the agency with a unique opportunity to showcase its mission and the work of its special agents on an international stage.
As part of this prestigious selection, ALE was highlighted in a brief film that displays its statewide responsibilities as well as the professionalism and dedication of its personnel. The production will be featured during the IACP conference in Orlando, Florida, next week, where law enforcement leaders from across the country and around the world will gather to discuss public safety, leadership, and law enforcement innovation.
ALE is the only agency in North Carolina selected for this opportunity in 2026.
The film highlights not only ALE’s unique mission, but also the strong partnerships the division has built with law enforcement agencies throughout the state. These relationships are essential to ALE’s work and allow agents to collaborate with federal, state, and local officers to address criminal activity, strengthen public safety, and better serve communities.
ALE’s selection reflects its distinct role in North Carolina law enforcement and its record of professional achievement. Over the past five years, ALE has been recognized three times as the National Liquor Law Enforcement Agency of the Year by the National Liquor Law Enforcement Association. The division is also home to an IACP 40 Under 40 Leadership Award recipient.
In addition, ALE is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and is the only alcohol law enforcement agency in the nation to hold CALEA accreditation, underscoring the division’s commitment to professional standards, accountability, and continuous improvement.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the outstanding work our special agents do every day to protect the citizens of North Carolina, along with our law enforcement partners who stand beside us in that mission,” said ALE Director Bryan House. “Our success is built on our mission to Prevent Crime, Uphold Accountability, and Protect North Carolina. We are proud to represent North Carolina on an international stage and recognize the legacy of our agency.”
The six-minute film provides an inside look at the agency, its personnel, and the partnerships that strengthen law enforcement efforts statewide, showcasing the dedication and high standards that define North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.
